Ram has unveiled its highly anticipated all-new Ram 1500 REV battery-electric truck for the first time today as part of the brand’s Big Game efforts. As the first-ever light-duty electric truck from the Ram Brand, the Ram 1500 REV showcases pure electric capability without compromise. Ram celebrated the launch with a 60-second super bowl commercial, “Premature Electrification.” This commercial directly addresses any potential concerns about EV truck ownership. The Future of Ram Trucks
The Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept is a clear sign that Ram is on a precipice of something extraordinary at Ram and points directly to where we’re going on the electrified journey. Ram will differentiate itself by offering a portfolio of fully electrified solutions to better meet customers’ needs, including a segment-redefining Ram 1500 BEV in 2024. Capability Without Compromise
Built on the strength of the new STLA Frame platform, the Ram 1500 REV is primed for success and designed to set the bar in terms of capability, range, towing, and payload. To provide space for the large battery, the wheelbase is 4 inches longer than the 2023 Ram 1500, resulting in extra cabin space and enhanced passenger comfort. In addition, full underbody aero panels and an active diffuser in the rear help reduce aerodynamic drag and improve battery range.
Breathtaking State-of-the-Art Design
Taking cues from the Ram Revolution Concept, the refreshed grille design featuring an illuminated Ram badge offers a bold new look focused on the future. Set off by the distinguishing stance you’ve come to expect from Ram trucks, a sophisticated front full fascia and lower grille surround complement this electric truck’s already heroic demeanor. Drawing inspiration from the revamped 1500 grille design, LED headlamps project a sharp beam of light with exceptional clarity. Storage options abound in the Ram 1500 REV, and at the top of the list is the new innovative frunk (front trunk), offering easy-to-access onboard power and game-changing cargo space with secure, weatherproof protection.
Next-Level Interior
Capitalizing on the proportions afforded by the STLA frame, this electric truck offers more rear legroom and comfort to recline than the 2023 Ram 1500. Inside the electric Ram 1500 REV, you will find a host of advanced technologies, luxurious refinements, and superb comfort throughout the cabin. Additionally, this electric truck can get you back up and running when the grid is down with available home energy charging. Charge up via an easy-to-use quick-release mount with a lockable, weatherproof enclosure for either indoor or outdoor installation.
The new interior boasts sustainable materials with never-before-seen levels of flexibility, comfort, and innovation. Known as a “one space environment,” the Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept uses one continuous space front to back that enables several different interior configurations. The “one space environment” theme is bolstered significantly more spacious interior, and greater cabin length results from a new architecture while the battery’s size allows for more cargo volume. In addition, ram Track, Ram’s rail attachment/floor track system, provides cabin flexibility for the seats and console, as well as usable tie-downs or another storage potential. Ram Track is also incorporated in the frunk and the bed, allowing for true flexibility from front to back.
Leading-Edge Technology, Connectivity, and Convenience
The 1500 Revolution stretched the length of the dashboard and continued a theme line to the mid-gate. The full touchscreen display comprised of two screens offers up to 28 inches of screen space as the centerpiece of an interior loaded with advanced technology. The rearview mirror combines leading-edge technology to improve safety and convenience. The rearview mirror is significantly smaller with various sophisticated technologies, including an intelligent backup camera with 360-degree views, speakers, and receivers compatible with voice assistants like Alexa and Siri. Then in reverse, the camera stitches together images from various other cameras around the truck, providing the driver with a 360-degree view of the interior digital screens. This allows the driver to see their surroundings more clearly, helping to avoid accidents and improve safety, especially when backing up to a trailer. Digital side-view mirrors and augmented reality head-up display highlight the advanced onboard technology.
